Either way, French at HaAmbatia is flowing and lively, and our beginners' course is perfect for both absolute beginners and people with a tiny bit of prior knowledge!

This French course is just a tiny step above Level 1 — suited for students who've studied before but still need the fundamentals. The focus is on conversation skills — we'll train your ears and mouth to get used to the "music" of the language. By the end of the course you'll feel confident using past, present and future tenses, and beyond basic vocabulary you'll improve your ability to express emotions and feelings in French.

The course draws on our grammar booklet and the collected stories of "Le Petit Nicolas" by René Goscinny — your first encounter with a long, complex French text. If you have some background in everyday conversation — now is the time to dive into richer content and take a significant step toward fluent speaking.

This course is for anyone who's comfortable with everyday conversation and ready to dive into the deep end! We'll discover new subtleties of French grammar: tense agreement, indirect speech in the past tense and conditional sentences. We'll also read the adventure novel "Le roman d'Ernest et Célestine," written in rich, clear language. We'll use it as a tool for deepening language skills, and practice free conversation.

Your French is no longer in shallow waters! You have a solid foundation, you hold conversations and handle texts successfully. Now it's time to jump to the next level. In this course we'll expand your vocabulary, explore different writing styles and even read a short classic novel that will challenge you. The goal is for you to feel at home in any conversation — even on topics you haven't encountered before. French at HaAmbatia goes deeper!

You already speak French at a very high level, watch films almost without subtitles, and have even managed to read literature in the original. In this course we'll discover the subtleties reserved for true connoisseurs — slang, expressions, and understanding cultural references. We'll read a classic novel and practice discussing current affairs. This is the final leap toward becoming truly French!

This is our second-to-last level! You already speak French at a very high level, understand almost everything, and speak fluently and naturally. People might even call you a "Francophile." This course is for anyone who wants to polish their French to perfection — we'll focus on linguistic precision, refining your nuances and fully understanding complex cultural contexts. You'll learn to use French in every situation — from formal letters to spontaneous conversations on any topic.

This is the highest level of French at HaAmbatia! You're near-perfect French speakers — you understand everything, speak like natives and have even started dreaming in French (fun!). This course is for anyone who wants to reach the peak of their ability. We'll work on the final subtleties, personal style and total confidence in every linguistic situation. This is the place to celebrate everything you've achieved and enjoy French as a second mother tongue!
